Recycling With TerraCycle And Arm & Hammer

It is easy to just go to the store and purchase products not knowing how the containers, bottles, or bags will affect the environment after we throw them away in the trash. We have heard about recycling plastic bags, water bottles, cans, etc. But there are many items that can be recycled and reused. We just have to keep our eyes open to see how we can go about recycling these items. When we do our share on recycling, we help the environment and each other. We conserve energy and save natural resources by reducing greenhouse gasses and pollution while reducing the amount of plastic that goes into the landfills, which may lead to the oceans and harm marine life and us.

Sometimes, we want to help recycle some items but don't know where or how to go about it, besides recycling plastic bottles, cans, and bags, which your local city has locations throughout shopping centers and parking lots. At least that's how it is where I live.

Have you heard of TerraCycle® They are a recycling program that recycles the "non recyclable." They are eliminating the idea of waste. They collect almost any form of waste: coffee K-cups, candy wrappers, pens, and more and recycle it to be reused over and over. Recently, TerraCycle® partnered with ARM & HAMMER™ to recycle some of their product pouches. The pouches will be cleaned, melted, and molded into new recycled products. So now, when buying ARM & HAMMER™ or OXICLEAN™ laundry detergent pouches, we can send them in to be recycled and used as something else. And the cycle will continue.

What exactly is currently being recycled? The following are products currently being recycled with this program: ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda pouches, ARM & HAMMER™ Power Paks Laundry Detergent pouches, OXICLEAN™ Laundry Detergent Paks pouches, OXICLEAN™ 2in1 Stain Fighter Power Paks pouches, and OXICLEAN™ White Revive Laundry Stain Remover Power Paks pouches.

The Baking Soda pouch is one we always have in our home. We buy the 13.5 lb. bag because we use it for many things around our home and for our bodies. It is used for our dishes, laundry, general cleaning, skincare, oral care, hair care...you get my drift, right? We use a lot of baking soda all the time. But the empty bags would end up in the trash, sadly. Now that I have learned about this program, I will definitely recycle the pouches!

Points can be earned each time pouches are recycled, as well, and can be redeemed for a variety of charitable gifts, product bundles, or a payment of $0.01 per point to the non-profit organization or school of choice.

My Newest PINCHme Box Samples

Every month, I check my PINCHme account to see if I get to try some new samples. As you know, I enjoy receiving new samples to try. It is fun trying new things! In this box, you can get a variety of products, like food, snacks, shampoo, lotions, vitamins, dog food, laundry soap, and more.

This past month, I received only a few items, but have enjoyed trying all of them. I received a coupon for a free Slim Fast Slim Cafe and samples of Garnier Whold Blends Oat Delicacy Shampoo and Conditioner, and Garnier Fructis Smoothing Treat Hair Mask. Sometimes, they send out a sample repeat, which in this case, I got spicy Skittles.

The way PINCHme works is you sign up for an account, fill in some demographics and questions so they can see what you may qualify for according to their current promos/clients. Every month, if you qualify for some stuff, you will see it available in your account under Samples, you add it to your cart, and then they send out the products. You have some time to try the product and review it or answer a survey. It's easy, and you get to share your opinion on each item!

For me, one of the samples that I have enjoyed the most (there are many, but if I had to choose) was Barilla Pesto. Why? Because I was introduced to an easy, yet yummy dish that my family loves!! Tarte Cosmetics Haul

How cute is this Pamper & Prep Makeup Ready Set from Tarte Cosmetics? I recently bought it when the sale was 20% off plus $5 via Ebates for my entire purchase from this haul (4 items...not too shabby, right?). Aren't sales and savings/rebates apps awesome?! Plus I earn reward points each time I shop through their site. More on that later, though. Right now I want to show you what I got. I am excited!

Back to my pretty set: It is an eye cream, face oil, & mosturizer that hydrates, nourishes, and preps! It is packed with vitamins, fatty acids, antioxidants, and maracuja oil providing my skin with natural softness. A little goes a long way. My face has been feeling good and well nourished. I needed this, especially with this hot weather and dry winds that we get in my area. This is good for daily use, and it is perfect for when I travel. I hate it when I have to use something else during my travels just because I wasn't able to fit my original products in my bags due to their sizes, and I hate taking them out of their original jars to put them in those "travel-size" containers. I feel they go to waste!

I am happy with my little pamper & prep set!

The next item I purchased was the Rainforest of the Sea 4-in-1 Setting Mist. 

A pretty bottle that is able to do four things in one! This is definitely a crowdpleaser! It is true with what it says it does. It is a primer, hydrating mist, makeup setting spray, and refreshes your skin. I like to use it for all the above. Misting my face throughout the day to give me a fresh feel is my favorite.

Tarteist Quick-Dry Matte Lip Paint

I love lipstick, but for some reason lipstick does not love me. It disappears within the hour after applying! I needed something that not only was a pretty color, but something that was going to stay ON MY LIPS. So I looked into lip stains, and found these. I first received a sample a long time ago in a birthday bag, and this lip stain became, and has been since, my favorite lip product. They have so many vibrant, gorgeous colors to choose from. They are fairly easy to apply. And they last a long time on your lips, making your lips look divine!

Take note on lip stains: you need some prepping before you apply so you can get the best look possible that will last. Here are some tips straight from Tarte Cosmetics:

• Use a lip scrub to prep and condition lips prior to each application.
• Use the lip paint's precision brush wand to trace on longwearing matte color. First, use the felt tip to contour lips by tracing along the upper and lower lip line. Then, shade inside the lip line using the flat applicator surface.
• The quick dry formula will set in seconds and adhere to lips all day.

Now that we got the tips down, you can now play with your lip stains and see which is your favorite color. I haven't really boiled that part down, yet. There are too many pretty colors. But, soon as I choose my fave, I will definitely update you!

I appreciate when a company doesn't add a bunch of harsh chemicals to their products. There are so many chemicals out there that are harming us, in and out, as well as our environment. With Tarte Cosmetics, I don't worry about wondering if I will rash or have any sort of reaction. Their beauty products tend to be cruelty free, paraben free, gluten free, sulfate free, and I believe some of it is vegan, too. I support small businesses, especially when they are natural, non gmo, and are fighting for a good cause. But there will always be a place in my heart for bigger companies that care about me, too.

Simply Earth Essential Oils Box ~ April

I received my Simply Earth essential oils recipe box and I got my Big Bonus Box! There is so much in here! 

Just so you know, the essentail oils box is a subscription box that you get monthly. Each month is a theme, so you get a chance to learn about new oils. Recipe cards come in the box along with some accessories so you can put together what you like from the recipe cards. Love For This Awesome Loaker Box

If you like sweet treats that are delicious and crispy and has you wanting for more, then you will love Loaker! Yum! These treats are so good! I was moved by how scrumptious these treats were. My First Daily Goodie Box!

For a long time, I wondered if I would ever get a Goodie Box. I liked learning about so many people that were getting them and seeing their excitement. The boxes were always filled with good stuff! I was happy for them, but secretly i wondered if I would get one. I wanted a Goodie Box and decided to continue trying to get one. I liked hanging out with Daily Goodie Box on Facebook, so one day I decided to comment and share my excitement. To my surprise, I got the message, "Congrats! You just got a Goodie Box!" The first thing that popped in my mind was, "WOW! Woohoo! I got a Goodie Box!" I was thrilled and started jumping up and down with joy. I couldn't wait to have my box in my hands.

The day came when it arrived, and I immediately opened it. There was a bunch of good stuff waiting for me to open: yummy snacks, a drink, slime, wipes, and more! Everything in there are of good size and quality! The box was neatly packed, but it immediately looked as if it was ransacked thanks to my excitement and not being patient to gently take each item out of the box. Sorry, everything was too good! Flathau’s Fine Foods - Cinnamon Snaps

My husband loved Flathau’s Fine Foods Cinnamon Snaps so much that he has sent me out to find some more. These are delicious and perfect with coffee, milk, or just enjoy it by itself! Have some for dessert or alone as a quick snack. This perfectly sweet treat gently crumbles in your mouth leaving you with a desire to want more, truly. They are soft with a light crisp. These cinnamon snaps are like a bite-size shortbread cookie with cinnamon sprinkled throughout, and are simply yummy!

Good Karma Dairy Free Flaxmilk

Thick and creamy with rich, nutritious flavor and great taste is how I would best describe Good Karma Dairy Free Flaxmilk. It kept me feeling full and content. It is free of soy, dairy, gluten, and nuts. One serving of flaxmilk contains 1100 mg of omega-3 and 7 grams of protein. That's pretty good for a single serving! Not only did it give me a great boost to my day, it is good for the body in so many different ways due to its main ingredient: flax. This vegan and non-gmo drink is a superfood that is good for the heart and soul, I say. It is filled with good nutrients for mom, dad, and the kiddos alike.

Prince & Spring Fruitmojis

The emoji fruit snack is so much fun to eat! Food isn't supposed to be this fun, is it? Well, I was having a blast enjoying this yummy snack while checking out every piece that came out of the bag. There are a lot of flavors in each single-serve packet. Each flavor goes with a certain emoji. The orange flavor is the fire emoji. The strawberry flavor is the heart emoji. The orange flavor is the pizza emoji. The fruit punch flavor is the yummy emoji. The apple flavor is the money emoji. The grape flavor is the poo emoji (🤔 I had to think twice on this one before trying only because...well, I mean...it's poo! 😂). My favorite flavor is the grape, but my favorite emoji is the heart. I was also impressed and happy that I could taste real fruit juice flavors and not fake sugars in each fruitmoji gummy. They didn't taste super sweet or stick to my teeth. They were a good treat that my family and I loved and enjoyed snacking on.

Real Chemistry Fresh-Start Foaming Cleanser

A gentle face cleanser that removed my makeup without irritating or drying out my skin. It left my skin feeling so soft and smooth. It has a light and pleasant scent. The actual feel of the product is like the consistency of gel. As I put a dime-sized amount of it on my fingers, I noticed how smooth it felt. It made me want to wash my hands with it, but I didn't because it is for face and it cost too much to misuse. 😁 Although this is a free sample that I received in order for me to review, I don't want to waste it. 😉 A little goes a long way! I would like to continue using this cleanser to see what results it will leave my skin with as the days go by. For now, I like that my skin feels clean and soft!

RawRev Chunky Peanut Butter Chocolate

Tastes like PB & J! It's actually really good! At first, I was unsure if I would like it because it looked and felt too soft to be a chunky bar. However, the first bite took effect and I was sold. This is a good bar! I like how it reminded me of my childhood when I would snack on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It brought a smile to my face. I also like the chocolate chunks along with the crispy peanuts! Vegan, organic, non-gmo, and gluten free with 2 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein brings a tasty and nutritious bar to enjoy anytime!

Fourth & Heart Madagascar Vanilla Bean Ghee Butter

This gluten-free, non-gmo, dairy-free, lactose-free, and organic fair trade madagascar vanilla bean ghee butter is smooth! The pleasant-tasting butter added richness to my coffee. It can also be used for cooking and baking, except I only had one sample; therefore, I didn't have enough for baking. However, I would like to get some more of this ghee so I can bake and cook with it. Plus, I enjoyed it in my morning coffee, so I would continue using it regularly. I felt healthy adding ghee to my diet. It is good for you!

Foods Alive Himalayan Pink Salt

I love Foods Alive Himalayan pink salt! There are so many minerals that our body needs and we get with this salt! It is natural, organic, and non gmo. It tastes great! I added some to my popcorn and it tasted delicious. I like adding a little to my water every day so my body can absorb the 90 plus minerals that my body needs and this salt provides naturally. I feel good when adding this pink salt to my diet. I enjoy it in numerous ways besides in my popcorn and water: I sprinkle some on my fruit and veggies, I cook with it, I include it when making my electrolyte drink, and I use it in my bath! It is great to always have some at home.

Goodwipes - Down There Wipes For Gals

These paraben-free, alcohol-free, and hypoallergenic wipes come in handy. I feel clean after using them and appreciate that they help maintain a pH balance which keeps bacterial count on check. I like that they are biodegradable, too. The wipes are a good size and don't easily tear. They also come in a singles pack so I can put it in my bag for when I'm on the go. They are convenient to have.

Loaf Slime - Lavender Aromatherapy Dough

I didn't know slime would be therapuetic! This Loaf Slime is pretty awesome! First, it's fun. It reminds me of all the times I bought my son slime when he was little. I would just watch him enjoy it a lot! Now that I think of it, he was always happy and calm when playing with slime. Second, it smells good! It has a nice lavender aroma that you breathe in while you play with it. As I pass it from one hand to the other and my fingers are moving around, the aroma is being released and is smelling nice! And third, it is relaxing! It's is a good way to relax and be calm. Overall, I enjoyed playing with Loaf Slime!

DayClear - Allergy Relief

DayClear really cleared up my allergies, and it workes fast! It didn't smell or taste odd, either. I didn't feel any weird side effects like I do with other allergy meds. The dose is easy to take and effective.

This is my Goodie Box! It's a lot, isn't it? I loved and enjoyed everything in this box and hope to get more in the near future.

Review: Ocean's Halo Coconut & Chocolate Seaweed Snack

At first, I thought that chocolate and seaweed would not taste good, because it sounds like it does not mix. Honestly, I thought it was flat out weird. But I gave it a chance due to me receiving a free coupon for me to test and review. Now that I have tried Ocean's Halo Seaweed Snack, I could say that it was good. This snack is made of seaweed, chocolate, and coconut and is pretty tasty. It is salty and sweet. It is also very crispy. My family was also impressed and enjoyed snacking on this.
